Dr. Akbary joins Dr. Tyson as Carolina Cardiology's second board-certified electrophysiologist. After receiving highly skilled training at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, Dr. Akbary joined the heart center medical staff in January of 2003.

Dr. Akbary has participated in numerous research trials. He currently has affiliations at High Point Regional Hospital, Lexington Memorial Hospital, Randolph Hospital, and Thomasville Medical Center.
